It’s been a few years, yes. But Taste of Somerville has never been forgotten. Together, the Somerville Chamber of Commerce and SCM Community Transportation are delighted to bring this choice celebration back to life. On June 9, 2009 a bountiful bevy of the area’s best restaurants will set up shop at the Somerville Holiday Inn, dishing out their finest for all who attend. You can expect live music from great local bands. You can expect fun activities for the kids. You can expect raffles and giveaways. And you can expect to have your taste buds tickled. Taste of Somerville is a community event, and it offers something for everyone. To make things even better, proceeds from this year’s Taste of Somerville will benefit SCM’s venerated non-profit Door2Door service for seniors and persons with disabilities. Twenty-five years old, SCM is one of Greater Boston’s longest standing and most beloved providers of mobility solutions to our neighbors who need them. Their friendly, safe and reliable services help people maintain healthy, mobile and connected lives.
